About URBAN GARDEN
They are sisters and products of the American South. Their story began in the Carolinas over 100 years ago, when their great-grandparents farmed cotton and grew fruit and vegetable gardens for their large families. The harvest provided both a livelihood and provisions during Depression Era times and long thereafter. Even when they were children, their grandparents gave them fresh figs and muscadines and always filled the dinner table with fresh okra and tomatoes from their garden.
In 2012, they embraced their heritage and found inspiration for their natural collection. They gathered and pressed flowers and leaves from local gardens and farms. They admired starfish, conch shells and other sea specimens on their Carolina beaches and the sea islands. They recaptured what they knew and loved, and they designed their first collection of timeless yet contemporary, beautiful natural art prints.
